Katra, Sep 16 (KNO): The Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) on Tuesday announced that the pilgrimage to the holy shrine will resume from September 17, 2025 (Wednesday), subject to favorable weather conditions. In a statement on X, the Board has advised devotees to remain updated through official communication channels regarding the status of the Yatra. “Following the cloudburst at the Ardhkuwari section, rescue operations were immediately launched to ensure the safety of all pilgrims and locals. The route has now been cleared, and teams are continuously monitoring the situation,” an official said, as per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO). He said that all necessary arrangements, including security, medical aid and traffic management are being taken into consideration to ensure the safe resumption of the Vaishno Devi Yatra.
